We specialise in building and repairing traditional peg jointed roof trusses and timber frames, using oak, douglas fir, larch and cedar from local sawmills. We also fabricate and repair specialist joinery items.

We get our inspiration from designs that stand the test of time and blend in with our environment.

We often work with local architects and designers, and regularly work with clients to design the structures they require and desire.

We are based on a farm at yalberton in Torbay, where we have our small framing yard and workshop. Alan lives in stoke Gabriel. Matt lives on his wooden Danish mfv near Dartmouth.

I started studying structural design while working as a draughtsman, but was lured easily away to help repair a wooden boat in the early nineties. I spent time in boat yards for a few years before working on barn conversions and Victorian renovations, I eventually went to work with Carpenter Oak Ltd, prior to setting up on my own. Matt Stevens has joined me recently, bringing in skilled carpenters and shipwrights when required.
